Ultra Manuals
The PDF versions of the manuals for Iridium Ultra Version 1.3 can be downloaded by doing the following:
- Download IridiumManuals.zip.
- The password for the manuals is the same as for the
software. Please contact IXRF to get the
password.
- You will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to view
or print these files. You can download a free copy of this from http://www.adobe.com. If you have a
software installation CD from IXRF, Adobe Acrobat Reader is on that CD.
Iridium Ultra Software
Notes
- The IridiumSupportFiles MUST be
installed first!
- You will need the password to install Iridium
Ultra. Please contact IXRF to get the
password.
- Iridium Ultra is targeted at Windows 7, Windows Vista,
Windows XP, and Windows/2000 only.
- After installation of Iridium Ultra, please read the
document "Iridium Ultra Release Notes.doc." This document is in
the Iridium Ultra folder,
and a shortcut to it can be found in Program Files\iXRF. - For compatibility with Windows 7/Vista, some basic
changes have been made in the organization of the software.
First-Time Installation of Iridium Ultra
Please follow the steps below in the order given when installing Iridium Ultra for the first time on a system.
Installing Iridium Support Files
- Un-install all other IXRF software (EDS200XSupportFiles
and EDS200X). Restart the computer if prompted to do so.
- Download IridiumSupportFiles_1_2.exe.
- Install IridiumSupportFiles, if not already installed.
It is only necessary to install Iridium Support Files once on a
system. This package installs additional Windows libraries that are
necessary for the operation of Iridium Ultra. From the Windows Explorer,
double-click on the file IridiumSupportFiles_1_1.exe to start the
installation.
- When asked whether to
install the "Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0" click Yes.
- You may get an error
message titled "MDAC 2.8 RTM." Click Cancel in the
panel displayed to continue the installation. This message indicates
that a newer version of MDAC is already installed on the computer.
- Restart the computer if prompted to do so.
- Install Iridium Ultra. See next section below. Restart
the computer if prompted to do so.
Installing Iridium Ultra Version 1.3 Rev A (April 22, 2010)
- Download IridiumUltra_1_3A.exe.
- From the Windows Explorer, double-click on the file
IridiumUltra_1_3A.exe to start the installation.
Installing Iridium Ultra Version 1.3 (March 10, 2010)
- Download IridiumUltra_1_3.exe.
- From the Windows Explorer, double-click on the file
IridiumUltra_1_3.exe to start the installation.
Iridium Ultra Version 1.3B Beta 2 (May 3, 2010)
You will need to contact IXRF for a password if you wish to participate in the testing of this Beta version of the software.
- Download IridiumUltra_1_3B_Beta2.exe.
- From the Windows Explorer, double-click on the file
IridiumUltra_1_3B_Beta2.exe to start the installation.
